So remember when I told you that he got me Alicia Keys concert tickets for Valentine's Day. Well umm, what I didn't tell you is that we are no longer together. Anyway, I decided to still go with him because I adore A. Keys.Melanie Fiona and Robin Thicke opened up for her and they delivered good performances. But when A Keys was coming on, man, I was super excited! I sang the words to all the songs she sang. She looked BEAUTIFUL, and I was very impressed by the stage setting. There was a 3D bleeding heart (pictured right) hanging over the audience while she sang "Fallin'" to give it that extra something. There were a lot of colors, circling piano, videos, etc. I really had a lot of fun, and I can now put this down as one of my favorite experiences.
In an effort to help rebuild the country of Haiti after the devastating 7.0 earthquake, today's musical artists including Pink, Akon, Lil Wayne, and Justin Beiber have come together to perform the remake of the 1985 "We Are The World" song. I love this song and the 1985 behind the scenes footage, so I was thrilled when I heard that some of the artists that I listen to today are adding their touch to it, for a good cause. Michael would be so proud. It will premier tomorrow night during the opening of the Olympics. Peep the video below.
Anybody who knows me, knows that I am an Alicia Keys stan fan. She has had my support since the braids/Songs in A Minor days. I love the two songs "Doesnt mean anything" & "Try sleeping with a broken heart" that she released off her upcoming album, called "The Element of Freedom." I hate that I have to wait till Dec. 15 to get the album.
Hilarious. Thank you lil mama, absolutely HILARIOUS ! So I'm enjoying (watching) my girl A.Keys and Hov's performance @ the VMA's 2009 closing, and out of nowhere comes Lil Mama on the stage. Now, Im thinking she gon' start rapping or dancing, SOMETHING! She just bops her head to the music and has the nerve to pose with Alicia and Hov @ the end. I know she reps NY hard and all, but danggg....what ever happened to those "I ♥ NY" shirts, lol

Taking the mic from poor Taylor's hand while she's giving her speech and saying that Beyonce should have won Best Female Video instead? I know a lot of people were thinking the same thing, including me, but the only difference is, they didn't embarrass BOTH Taylor and Beyonce on National Television!

Simply because it is written by my favorite artist, the lovelyAlicia Keys, sung by one of the 2 women who I think posesses one of the most beautiful voices in the game, the legendary, Whitney Houston (the other woman being Celine Dion) and produced by Swizz Beatz Who always has me dancing to his beats. It's called Million Dollar Bill and as expected, I love it! If he makes you feel like a million dollar bill, say it..oh oh oh oh. Check it out! I am so excited for this Nas & Damian "Jr Gong" Marley album that is expected to drop in Fall 09! Now you know I have to support my future hubby that is Damian Marley lol. But really, I'm expecting this to be SICK because they are both talented artists: Marley, who takes after his father, the legendary Bob Marley has contributed excellent music to reggae. Nas has definitely proved himself as a talented hip hop artist, selling over 15 million albums worldwide. The two also worked on the single Road to Zion, one of my favorites from Marley's Welcome to Jamrock album. The album will show the relationship between hip hop, reggae, and Africa. Hence the title, Distant Relatives. Nas is gonna need for this one to be a success, seeing that he was ordered to pay ex wife Kelis 44,000 a month in child support. DANGGGGGGGGG!
So Balmain is sizzling around Hollywood this year, with many celebrities rocking different pieces from their collections. Their signature jackets are very Michael Jackson-esque. No wonder he was a fan too! R.I.P MJ, I love you. Anyway, on to the clothes!
